LA PRODUCTION HISTORIENNE AU CAMEROUN A L’EPREUVE DE LA CRITIQUE HISTORIQUE

Résumé

Cet article est une discussion critique sur l’historiographie
camerounaise en termes d’acquis du point de vue des orientations,
des tendances et de la méthodologie. Il analyse les pesanteurs
structurelles, conjoncturelles, épistémologiques qui empêchent les
jeunes historiens à s’affirmer comme chercheur. Il n’est pas
seulement une analyse critique mais une source de connaissances
épistémologique et théorique pour une véritable écriture et
réécriture de l’histoire du Cameroun et celle de l’Afrique.

Abstract
This article is a critique of the Cameroonian historiography in
terms of orientations, tendencies, and methodology. It analyses the
structural, economic and epistemological hindrances that do not
only impede the implementation of a real historian corporation in
Cameron but also stop young historians from emerging as
researchers. It is not only a critique but also a source of
epistemological and theoretical knowledge for an authentic writing
and rewriting of the history of Cameroon and that of Africa.
