Dans l’Afrique noire précoloniale, les liens de parenté étaient sacrés et constituaient un socle de solidarité. Dans le Mbam au Cameroun, il existe plusieurs communautés qui se réclament descendantes d’un même ancêtre nommé Mbono. Parmi ceux-ci figurent les Bitang et Bassala qui entretiennent aujourd’hui une relation conflictuelle du fait d’une dispute de portion de terrain. La préoccupation du présent article est de comprendre le processus ayant provoqué la destruction des constituantes de la solidarité entre ces communautés apparentées, appréhender les manifestations des conflits qui les opposent et réfléchir sur une solution endogène capable de reconstruire l’unité perdue. Cette oeuvre est menée à partir des sources orales et écrites, et suivant une approche diachronique et synchronique. Le but escompté étant de sensibiliser les deux protagonistes en appelant à un dépassement des querelles absurdes au profit de la revalorisation de leur relation naturelle, gage de paix dans une Afrique tourmentée par la montée des replis identitaires.

Abstract
In pre-colonial black Africa, kinship was considered sacred and constituted the base of solidarity. In the Mbam region of Cameroon, there existed several communities claiming to have the same ancestor called Mbono. Amidst them were the Bitang and Bassala who today still maintain conflicting relations due to land disputes. The major preoccupation of this article is to understand the processes which provoked and destroyed the solidarity that existed between these kindred communities, apprehend the manifestation of conflicts that opposed them and reflect on internal solutions capable of restoring lost unity. This article was done through a combination of oral and written sources followed by a diachronic and synchronic approach. The goal here is to sensitize the two protagonists calling for a halt to unnecessary quarrels so as to revalorize their natural relationship;
