Le machiavélisme est l’une des pensées philosophiques qui a connu une renommée ambivalente. En introduisant un langage nouveau dans l’univers des idées philosophiques et politiques, Machiavel a porté un coup à la vision politique du monde en attaquant certaines idéologies.Mais au-delà des critiques, il est important de souligner la franchise et la sincérité qui justifient la pertinence du bien fondé du discours machiavélien. En effet, chercher à comprendre le bien fondé d’une action politique est l’un des principes qui fonde et justifie la doctrine machiavélienne.La théorie machiavélienne nous permet ainsi de comprendre qu’une action politique ne peut être comprise qu’à la lumière de ses mobiles et c’est pourquoi l’on ne peut la juger d’un point de vue d’une certaine valeur. Il faut plutôt s’en tenir à la réalité c'est-à-dire à la vérité effective. Le machiavélisme est d’abord une philosophie de la connaissance avant d’être au service d’une tâche pratique.

Abstract:Machiavellianism is one of the philosophies that have acquired quite an ambivalent reputation. As he introduced a new language in the universe of philosophical and political thought, Machiavelli struck hard the worldview at the same time that he targeted particular ideologies. Beyond the criticism it faced, it is important to stress the255straightforwardness and the pertinence that justify Machiavellian discourse. Actually, understanding the legitimacy of a political action is one of the principles on which the Machiavellian doctrine rests.Thus Machiavellian theory brings to light the fact that only through its motive can one understand a political action; and that is why no other value can be used to assess this action. One has to stick to reality, or put another way, true efficiency. Machiavellianism is first and foremost about knowledge before it becomes a useful tool for a practical task.
