Evaluation de l’impact de la contamination aux pesticides des eaux, sur les poissons et la santé de l’Homme, des secteurs IV et V de la lagune Ebrié (Côte d'Ivoire)
Abstract
Evaluation of the impact of pesticide contamination of waters on fish and human health in sectors IV and V of the Ebrié Lagoon (Côte d’Ivoire)
The scope of this study is to determine contamination impact of pesticides in water in muscle tissues of Chrysichthys nigrodigitatus and Tilapia zillii × Tilapia guineensis and human health. Fish and water were analyzed by gas chromatography coupled to a spectrometer of mass. The concentrations of metoxuron, simazine, aldicarb, desethylatrazine and metolachlor in water ranged from 0 to 159 µg L-1and from 0 to 40.66 µg kg-1 in fish muscle tissues. Hazard Index values in fish for pesticides were below 1 (HI <1) in both sectors. In contrast, Hazard Index values in water were above 1 for simazine 10.22 and 6.50, respectively in IV and V sectors and desethylatrazine 2 in V sector. Pesticide residues intake by people consuming the fishes from IV and V sectors of Ebrie lagoon. However, the risk of contamination, by ingestion of water, even filtered, is proven.
